Special Memories FL brought together the vertical displays, event draping and illuminated dance floor for two distinct needs: a three-day corporate rental and a large Sunday evening party.

For Behind the Chair’s August 2026 gathering in Fort Lauderdale, the rental plan connected a memorable party floor with portrait digital displays and tall black draped walls. Each service had its own role and rental schedule.
A Three-Day Rental at The BTC Show
From Saturday, August 22 through Monday, August 24, the rental included three vertical LED screens, 80 wireless LED uplights and 100 linear feet of pipe and draping. The Pixel LED floor and two mirrored stilt walkers were provided for Sunday Night Fever on August 23. The venue was the Greater Fort Lauderdale / Broward County Convention Center at 1950 Eisenhower Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316.
A 30 × 30 ft Pixel LED Dance Floor for the Corporate After-Party
The light-up dance floor became the center of the Sunday celebration. Its colorful LED patterns and frosted white borders gave the party a distinct dance area within the convention hall.
Color Across the Floor, Energy Across the Room
The photos show guests dancing across a large illuminated surface, with vivid patterns visible beneath their feet. The frosted white border framed the Pixel LED panels and picked up the changing light around the perimeter.
For a conference after-party, an LED dance floor adds a visual centerpiece to the evening program. This installation shows the scale possible for a corporate celebration, with the floor selected around the party space and the planned dancing.

Three Vertical LED Screens for Branding, Marketing & Event Announcements
The Fort Lauderdale LED screen rental included three 4.2 × 7 ft portrait displays for Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Behind the Chair used the screens for branding, marketing and event content across the three-day rental.
The supplied photos show several uses: a Behind the Chair logo, a BTC University promotion, Sunday Night Fever information and visual content for the party. This is where vertical digital signage earns its place in a conference setting—giving each message a large, visible display.

These views show the vertical display format carrying different kinds of approved content. The party announcement presents a clear event name, time and location, while the other displays feature company branding and a marketing message.
100 Linear Feet of Pipe and Draping
The three-day rental also included 100 linear feet of black pipe and draping, approximately 14 ft high. The tall curtain treatment added a consistent dark backdrop within the convention setting.
Black draped walls pair naturally with digital event screens: the neutral fabric keeps the surrounding visual field simple while the display carries the branding. The screen photos show that contrast between the bright portrait content and the black fabric behind it.

Eighty wireless LED uplights were part of the three-day rental, adding color to the event environment. Two mirrored stilt walkers joined the Sunday Night Fever party, bringing reflective costumes and a striking presence above the dance floor.
The Finishing Details

Should a conference dance floor be sized for all registered attendees?
Start with the expected attendance at the evening party and how many guests are likely to dance at once. A conference registration total can include people who will not attend the reception. Share the party format, expected turnout and room plan so the recommended LED floor size reflects the actual celebration.
Do dance-floor dimensions include the border and edge trim?
Ask for both the usable dance surface and the complete installed footprint on the quote or layout. Suppliers may describe floor dimensions differently, and decorative borders or edge pieces can affect the total space needed. Agree on those measurements before the venue places nearby furniture or approves the final room plan.
Can a QR code on a vertical LED screen link to an event page or promotion?
Yes. A QR code can be included in the approved screen artwork to open a registration page, product offer or other destination on an attendee’s phone. Use a clear, high-contrast code with space around it, add a short instruction, and test it on the actual display from the intended scanning position.
How large should text be on digital signage at a conference?
Design for the distance from which attendees will read the sign. Use a prominent headline, strong contrast and a small amount of supporting text. Test the artwork on the display from the farthest likely viewing position. A message for people walking past should be simpler than content for a spot where guests can stop and read.
How long should each promotional slide stay on an event screen?
Allow enough time to notice the slide, read its message and take the intended action. A simple brand visual can use a shorter interval than an offer with details or a QR code. Review the full loop before the event and give information-heavy slides more time, especially when attendees need to scan or follow a link.
What does fabric fullness mean in a pipe-and-drape quote?
Fullness describes the extra fabric used to create folds across a given span. For example, 100 linear feet of installed coverage can require more than 100 feet of flat fabric width to achieve a gathered finish. Compare quotes using the same finished coverage, height and desired fullness so the completed backdrop matches the look you expect.
Is black event draping always blackout fabric?
Black describes the color; blackout describes how effectively a fabric blocks light. Opacity varies with the material and how it is installed. If your event needs to hide a brightly lit area or control light behind a display, tell the rental team that purpose so the fabric and arrangement can be selected accordingly.
